War is always a bad thing but it also has some benefits that can make it helpful. War always causes pain and suffering to many people. It causes great pain to the family s of the soldiers that die in the war and even more pain to the soldiers that are badly wounded and survive they have to live the rest of there lives remembering what happened to them during the war. Even soldiers who are not injured suffer through memories of what they did and they can even go insane. Many of the casualties of war are often civilians during World War 2 around 60 percent of the casualties where civilians. Wars often cause the countries that are fighting them to be destroyed especially during civil wars. Sometimes civilians are the targets instead of enemy soldiers making it even worse. But war also has its benefits. Rebellions are often bad but can be a good thing sometimes. They can take down corrupt governments and make the country a better place. America would not even be here today if it were not for rebellion we could still be part of England. But of course even if the rebellion is for a good cause many people will still die. Wars can also sometimes be necessary when there is no other option. In World War 2 when Hitler wanted to conquer Europe we didn’t have to fight but we chose too because we realized what he was doing was wrong. I would go to war if my countries existence were being threatened. I would not want to go to war for political reasons like in the Korean War where the only reason we were fighting was to stop south Korea from becoming communist.
